All locations on Earth that are north of the equator are in​ the Northern Hemisphere. This includes all of North America and Europe along with most of Asia, northern South America, and northern Africa. All points on Earth that are south of the equator are in the Southern Hemisphere.

Using Maps URLs, you can build a universal, cross-platform URL to launch Google Maps and perform searches, get directions and navigation, and display map views and panoramic images. The URL syntax is the same regardless of the platform in use. You don't need a Google API key to use Maps URLs.

Use Maps in Chrome Find a place or location in Chrome, without the use of a navigation app. On a web page, touch and hold the address you want to check. Tap View with Google Maps on Chrome. To view route options, tap Get Directions.

Search for a place on Google Maps At the top, tap the search box and enter an address, name of a place, or choose a category, like gas stations or groceries. Tip: After you find a place on the map, you can check directions to the place in a list, details about a place, or get directions with voice-guided navigation.
