Cuticle oil is an oil used to moisturise and hydrate the nail bed. Each product varies with ingredients however it's usually a combination of natural vegetable oils; anything from avocado, coconut and almond oil, as well as Vitamin E. The Vitamin E, helps to soften the skin and help repair any damage such as scars.

Always apply cuticle oil when you have time to let it soak in. Washing or sanitizing your hands after application will remove the oil and diminish the benefits. I suggest applying cuticle oil while sitting at your desk, before bedtime, or when you are relaxing!

However, only specifically designed cuticle oil will move across you're your gel or acrylic nails to keep them flexible and protect your manicure. Cuticle oils penetrate deeper than standard oils or moisturisers, which will only superficially soften.
